Journal Highlight 1/8/09

What I should have known when I got to high school was that everything was going to start changing. Everything was going to be different. My friends, my classes and my whole entire out look on life was changing as well. I took my immature attitude and threw it out the door. My new mind had finally arrived, it was much wiser but also very confused on how everything processed. My life was flying by with nothing to show for it yet. I wanted to figure out my plans in life, and achieve new goals. I knew it would take more than one year to arrange my future. I just never realized how fast my teen years were slipping through my fingers. I should have planed ahead, but I chose not too, and now my future is held in the hands of the beholders we call teachers.

Journal Highlight 1/15/09

I should have swallowed my pride when I was in 8th grade. It was at Powell County middle School. I was playing football at the time, and it was during a Bourbon County game. The game had ended, and we beat them pretty bad. I was in the bathroom changing out of my pads and jersey, when suddenly kid from the opossing team was in there with me. He was trashing our bathroom, so what was I supposed to do? He didn't have to be a sore loser about it, so...we rumbled. I'll admit I let to much hubris show, and by hubris I mean pride. I won, but I thought I was bigger than I really was. I won, but I shouldn't have taken actions into my own hands, or...fists.
